Carlo Rabano Trio

Carlo Rabano, a San Francisco-based Filipino-American trombonist, brings a vibrant blend of personal passion, energy, and cultural roots to his music and teaching. Known for his complex tone and energetic sound, Carlo shares his love for life to both listeners and bandmates through jazz improvisation and composition. His style is shaped by the rich traditions of bebop, hard bop, post bop, fusion, and modern jazz, intertwined with his Filipino roots and everyday experiences. Active in SF and the Bay Area, Carlo brings this joy to the community as an active sideperson and bandleader, as well as inspiring music students through his teaching in his private studio and coaching for Stanford Jazz Workshop.
