About the event
Kurt Weill (1897–1950) and Friedrich Holländer (1896–1976) were German composers who achieved fame during the Weimar Republic but had their careers cut short by the rise of the Nazis and were forced into exile. Both were known for their contributions to cabaret, revue, theatre, and film music, with Weill famously collaborating with Bertolt Brecht on works like The Threepenny Opera and Holländer writing iconic songs for Marlene Dietrich, such as "Falling in Love Again" from The Blue Angel.
