About the event
French-born saxophonist, composer, and producer Cyril Guiraud brings a fresh, innovative voice to contemporary jazz from his home base in the San Francisco Bay Area. His dynamic new quartet—featuring Isaac Schwartz (drums), Gary Johnson (bass), and Ian McArdle (piano/keys)—showcases original compositions and bold improvisation. A versatile collaborator, Guiraud has worked with icons like Mark de Clive-Lowe, Michel Petrucciani, Kenny Garrett, and George Clinton, performing at top venues including SF Jazz, the Monterey Jazz Festival, and Stern Grove. His forward-thinking sound bridges jazz tradition with modern flair, resonating with audiences across generations.
