Kurt Ribak Trio

Kurt Ribak is a bassist, composer, and bandleader whose music blends deep jazz tradition with groove-driven, accessible original compositions. He has released six albums—three as the Kurt Ribak Trio and three under his own name—featuring music rooted in swing, soul, and modern jazz. Ribak grew up singing and playing classical music, began focusing on jazz while attending UC Berkeley, and later studied at Berklee College of Music on scholarship, graduating with top honors. His band has performed and sold out major venues including SFJAZZ and Yoshi’s, and has appeared at the San Francisco Jazz Festival, Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse, and San Jose Jazz Festival.
