About the event
Long known in the Bay Area for his 20+ years with R&B legend Etta James, (1988/2009), and his current 15 year tenure with Santana (2010/2025), eclectic keyboardist David K Mathews brings a stellar Jazz Quartet to Stookey’s Blue Room with a 1st call rhythm section comprised of bassist John Wiitala, and drummer Akira Tana.
Former SF resident Wayne De Silva is featured on tenor saxophone, and the group will be playing standards & music from the Blue Note songbook. Expect a few surprises; you never know who might show up!
