Smith Dobson Quartet

Smith Dobson, a versatile drummer and saxophonist, comes from a renowned musical family, including his father, pianist Smith Dobson IV, and his sister, singer Sasha Dobson. Raised in Santa Cruz, he began playing drums at age two and performed his first gig in second grade. Moving to San Francisco at 19, he quickly became a fixture in the jazz scene, collaborating with legends like Hal Stein and Noel Jewkes. He has performed at SFJAZZ Center and internationally, including Birdland in New York. Beyond music, Dobson is also a writer and visual artist, continually exploring new creative avenues.
