The Benny Amón Trio/Ahmad Jamal Project
This dynamic, extremely musical trio of musicians brings to life the arrangements and music of the classic Ahmad Jamal Trio and other great piano trios of the 1950's and 1960's. Composed of experienced Bay Area Jazz Musicians Charles Chen (piano), Mikiya Matsuda (double bass), and Benny Amón (Drums), this trio has quickly become a favorite of Bay Area audiences at clubs such as Mr. Tipples Jazz Club and Bird & Beckett.
